Completed within 48 hours, this character was inspired from Kid Buu of the animated series, Dragon Ball Z. This project was to practice tools specially geared toward creating highly detailed and complex organic models for games or films. In order to do that, there were various sculpting and texturing techniques I used including UV and polygon modeling methods.
For the project, I wanted to portray proper human anatomy structures through sculpting. My main goal was making sure the human anatomy was correct, so I spent weeks researching the human body. Since this was a solo project, I broke down the art pipeline into some major steps. I modeled the base model in Maya then exported it into Mudbox. Within that program I sculpted the clothing and muscles, textured it with its paintbrush tool, and rendered it within Mudbox's lighting. In my free time, I exported a Bump map and textures to implement it into Maya.
