Created within a week, the goal was to use sound design practices from film for a video game trailer. This project was to use a limited audio library to re-create a gameplay video from Half Life 2. Resources were supplied only from DePaul University to create more of a challenge.
In this project, the video was edited and properly converted within game industry standards. I organized and created an audio library categorized by SFX, Ambiance, Soundtracks, and DX then brought the files into Audacity. From there I chose to batch convert everything into OGGs as a best practice for avoiding licensing for sharing. With the new audio library, I then spent the next day editing a seamless ambiance and marking each key moment within my video. Once that was completed I edited my audio files through Pro Tools to create a rise of tension for the video.
